Like That Famous Bunny, She Just Keeps On………..

In the 13th Congressional District, which includes Sarasota, Florida, that bastion of Democracy in action, Christine Jennings was defeated November 7 by Vern Buchanan with a margin of just 369 votes out of 338,000. Let’s see, Christine is a Democrat, Vern is a Republican. Why is that not a surprise?. But, gee, couldn’t she just accept the fact that she lost. No, because Ms. Jennings smelled a rat apparently. (Isn’t this all sounding just a wee bit familiar???)……..She and her supporters have been working since then to discover what really happened…….remember, it was those pesky machines that people voted on……..But thanks to the efforts of Jennings, paperless voting has been eliminated in Florida, and even as we write here, Congress is burning the midnight oil to create a paper trail for all voting in the U.S.A…..We hope.

Ah, good……. Too bad we’re stuck with the results of the last big election snafu for all these years. Too bad Gore and Kerry didn’t have the “bunny” characteristics Jennings has. She now says she will accept the findings of the Task Force who will by next month ferret out what really went on in the voting booth in Sarasota County. Good………. Too bad there wasn’t a…….well, no sense crying over spilled milk……The Dems will win next time!!!…….Won’t they? They will, won’t they?………….Um, in my humble opinion, the Only way the Democrats can “win” the Presidency is by a vast landslide victory………too big to be “fixed”, so we had better pick the candidate who can garner the votes for this huge upset………..Who might that be? Time to go make popcorn for tonight’s forum……….I think i’ll haul the tv out of the closet for this one……..Perhaps someone will bring up the 2.2 million people this country has incarcerated, since the focus is on domestic issues. And the 700,000 homeless.
